Pitch Perfect 2
Pitch Perfect 2: Passing the Torch
A Review by Moriya Bradley
B+
When Pitch Perfect (2012) came out, it’s safe to say that it took the world by storm. It was a relatively low budget “musical” if you will, based on the book by Mickey Rapkin, and the first week after it came out, it was all anyone could talk about. The quick wit script combined with a cast of diverse, fabulous ladies, makes it no surprise that the film is now quoted and applauded everywhere. The sequel, Pitch Perfect 2, is no exception. Returning cast members include Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, Ben Platt, Anna Camp, Alexis Knapp, Ester Dean, Adam DeVine, Hana Mae Lee, John Michael Higgins and Elizabeth Banks.

Into the Woods: Into the Five Dollar Bin
Into the Woods
By Moriya Bradley
C+
I'd like to preface this review with the statement that Disney has been on a high kick with movies lately, so my hopes for Into the Woods were pretty high.
Into the Woods is a mash-up musical of fairy-tales. The story follows many, many different characters as protagonists in their own stories, but all intersect. In the woods. Saw that one coming.

A Little Princess, Directed by Alfonso Cuaron (1995)
A Little Princess: A Review
by Moriya Bradley(Grade) A-
The 1995 film A Little Princess, directed by Alfonso Cuaron is a stunning representation of what it means to be a child and believe in the magic of life. The film is based on the children's classic book of the same name, written by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
GET ON UP (Or as I Like to Call it: Sit Back Down): A Review
By Moriya
GRADE: C +
Get On Up did not make me want to get out of my seat. In fact, it left me wishing I'd gone to see Guardians of the Galaxy. What can I say? It was funkier than James Brown's music- and not in a good way.

Big Eyes is a biographical movie about painter Margaret Keane, who is brilliantly portrayed by the gorgeous Amy Adams (Enchanted, Man of Steel). The film takes place in the late 50's through the 60's and follows the emotional journey of Margret's painting career, marriage and parenthood.

Xena: Warrior Princess
17 Reasons To Watch XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS
Very soon after discovering that all 6 seasons of one of my favorite childhood shows- Xena: Warrior Princess are on Netflix, I decided to marathon and watch the whole show start to finish.
If you don’t know what it’s about, the basic premise is that Xena is a legendary warrior from ancient Greece who is seeking redemption from her evil warlord ways. She commits herself to travelling the world to do good deeds and defend those who cannot defend themselves. She quickly meets the young Gabrielle, an enthusiastic bard with a passion for telling all of Xena’s heroic deeds. Together they embark on a 6 season journey, battling many foes, not the least of which are warlords, most of the Greek Gods, Julius Caesar, Augustus Caesar, Amazons, Centaurs, an evil shamaness, the warrior Callisto, and several embodiments of evil incarnate. There is no better ancient crime fighting duo. It’s one of my all time favorite shows, and here’s 17 reasons why.

The Idea Behind Media Mind
The Idea
I came up with the idea for a media blog because I contribute to another blog on "Blogger" reviewing movies. I've always loved movies and music and literature, and I keep up rather well on contemporary hollywood/movie news. Though, while only being one of 6 contributors to the movie review blog, I realized that I wanted to review, critique and celebrate so much more than just movies for one specific audience. So here it is, my sometimes snarky, sometimes fangirl, opinions on everything.
