Star Wars: The Last Jedi

So far, this has been the most controversial and divisive Star Wars movie among fans.  The sequel to 2015's The Force Awakens has taken the Star Wars franchise past the hefty 4 billion dollar price tag paid by Disney, back when they bought Lucasfilm a few years ago.  It's the number one movie in the world right now, no doubt.  The question is, does it deliver?

I joined Thomas over at Superhero Moviecast with guest Tyson Oliver to discuss the latest Star Wars installment, The Last Jedi.  During this part 2 podcast, we talk about the divisive fan reactions, what we felt worked and maybe what didn't.  You can check out our mixed thoughts here.  If you enjoy listening, leave a 5 star review so Superhero Moviecast can expand their audience.

Female Superheroes: Marvel vs. DC

It’s hard to believe, but it’s been about 10 years since Disney launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the first Iron Man movie.  So many great films have followed, and still so many more to come.  It’s not hard to see why the MCU has had such commercial and critical success, with good characters in their respective films and in the culmination of the Avengers series.  Up until very recently, the MCU has dominated the superhero movie industry with little-to-no exception.  That is, until the DCEU got its head out of it’s *ahem* butt, and made the masterpiece that is Wonder Woman.  (For more specific thoughts on Wonder Woman, you can read my short review here, and check out the podcast I contributed to for more lengthy analysis here)

Spider-Man: Homecoming

Trying to keep up with all of the MCU and DCEU movies can be tough.  My friend Thomas over at Superhero MovieCast is making it a little easier with his podcasts, discussing the characters, themes and overall quality of super hero movies!  Check out his podcast on Spider-Man: Homecoming, the most recent installment to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  How does it compare to the other Spider-Man movies?  The comics?  How did it connect into the MCU?  These are all questions answered and discussed in the awesome podcast!

Wonder Woman for the Win

Can’t get enough of Wonder Woman?  Neither can I.  Read my short, non-spoiler review of the blockbuster film here.  For a more in depth analysis of the characters and themes from the film, check out the podcast I contributed to with my friend Thomas from Superhero MovieCast!  The first few minutes are non-spoiler overall thoughts, and then we get into the good stuff.  Enjoy!
